theacademiccenterfor excellence (ace) learning specialist in accounting reports to the director
of ace. applicants for this position must be self-motivated, possess fluent
english proficiency in both writing and speaking, excellent communication and
organizational skills; the ability to multi-task, work independently and under
pressure; and proficiency in pc and software applications including ms excel
and english word processing. the successful applicant will work closely with
all bryant university-bitzh students to identify specific needs and to design
strategies to support and enhance student proficiency in
accounting.

academic performance. services provided by the center include study skills
assistance through workshops and one-to-one counseling, subject area tutoring,
workshops on special topics, study groups, and english language development
tutorials.

maintaining office technology (hardware and software)
?hiring, training,
managing, and overseeing student office assistants
?keeping student
records and schedules of student employees
?creating and
maintaining payroll records and reports for student employees
?tracking student
use of ace services (including 2+2 students’zhbit ace course
requirements)
?maintaining
general tidiness of office
?providing basic it
support, including serving as a it liaison with bitzh
?ordering,
organizing, and distributing office supplies
?maintenance of
office equipment
?managing office
supplies and materials budget
?communicating with
other staff, faculty, and students
?coordinating
incoming mail, deliveries, and packages
?assisting in the
coordination of numerous events hosted by ace throughout the semester
?contributing to
the planning and implementation of various ace events, including tutor and
office assistant training, the idea program, and the bryant zhuhai english
language initiative
?supporting
students in their academic success
?coordinating
arrival of new faculty (arrange the pickup of new faculty, prepare apartments
before new faculty arrive, accompany faculty to buy necessary things, help them
to settle in)
?acting as liaison
between on-campus housing management office and foreign faculty and staff

this position requires
a candidate that has superior organization skills, can effectively communicate
with others, is self-motivated, and detail-orientated. must be a team player
and have outstanding data entry, interpersonal, and communication skills.
candidate must have the ability to be able to multi-task and be able to
prioritize multiple projects at once. must be proficient at microsoft office.
knowing blackboard is a plus. must also be able to learn and study new programs
rather quickly. bachelor’s degree at a minimum and some
administrative coordination experience is required.
